The MKS Resource Library is a comprehensive reference guide providing both introductory and advanced information on some of the industry’s most pertinent topics. It is a collection of white papers, on-demand Webinars, books, articles, as well as expert opinion and advice focusing on such areas as: Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), Requirements Management, Software Change and Configuration Management (SCCM), Software Testing & Test Management, Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), and the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL). Application Lifecycle
Management (ALM)
Initially, software development was supported with individual point tools. Modern lifecycle tools are fully integrated and provide capabilities for most of the roles in Application Lifecycle Management, with the three main disciplines being Requirements Management, Software Change and Configuration Management, and Test Management.

Software Change
and Configuration
Management (SCCM)
Software Change and Configuration Management is a necessary discipline and set of tooling required for mid-to large-sized software development teams in order to support complexity and to preserve the traceability, accountability and separation of duties required in today’s regulated and corporate environments.

Capability Maturity
Model Integration (CMMI)
Capability Maturity Model Integration is the successor of the CMM or Software CMM. The goal of the CMMI project is to improve the usability of maturity models by integrating many different models into one framework. CMMI helps integrate traditionally separate organizational functions, set process improvement goals and priorities, provide guidance for quality processes, and provide a point of reference for appraising current processes.

Requirements
Management
Requirements Management is the foundation of any successful software development project. It involves the managing of changes during the software development lifecycle, creating and maintaining agreement with customers, maintaining the traceability of the requirements of a system, and access to and analysis of the metrics of the software development process.

Software Testing and
Test Management
Software testing aims to assess whether a software product will be acceptable to end users and provide stakeholders with information about product quality with respect to the context in which it is intended to operate. A Test Management tool is used to manage previously specified tests and often includes requirements management modules.
